Every book had a theme and there were about 30 of us taking part from all over the UK and abroad. We all chose a theme each and then the event organiser contacted us via private message on the forum with the name of whom we were to make the Box of Secrets for. We then "stalked" them on the forum as well as checking their profiles about their likes and dislikes on their given theme and we had approx a month to design the book, build the compartments into the book, decorate the whole thing and fill the compartments with things related to the theme or something completely different.
Thus with two other friends, I shared some thin notebooks I had been given by a non-scrapping friend. I had a matchbox sizzix die which we were able to use for the compartments and these were glued into place at the back of the book. My theme was Beatrix Potter for my swappee partner.
My swap was Bramblepie aka Denise from South Africa. Unfortunately, she never received the parcel. I was so delighted with my efforts as I had never attemmpted anything like this before, but fortunately I did take photgraphs of it all and the scrapbooking pages before I posted it.
